  • Tyler Haddad - Owner/Program Director

    Coach Tyler founded Triple Threat Hoops in 2015 to give his younger brother and town teammates a place to play and develop in the off season. What started as a small, Morris County AAU Team has now grown into one of the top AAU Programs in the Tri-State. Following the early success of Triple Threat, Coach Tyler was given the opportunity to be a part of SportsU Team IZOD, where he worked with some of the top National talent, including Karl-Anthony Townes, Naz Reid, Jahvon Quinerly, and Louis King among others. During this time, he also partnered with The Patrick School’s “The Basketball Academy”, which featured the top Middle School players in New Jersey. The Basketball Academy was invited to participate in Lundenspelen in 2019, a Global Tournament in Sweden featuring teams from 11 different countries around the world. Coach Tyler’s 13u team earned a Gold Medal in that tournament with a win over the German National team. Over the past 10 years, Coach Tyler has spent thousands of hours coaching and training Middle School and High School players, helping dozens reach their goals of playing College Basketball. Some of the best success stories include Mark Armstrong [Villanova], Elliot Cadeau [North Carolina], and Tahaad Pettiford [Auburn].

  • Michael Bangs - Director of College Recruitment | Director of Girls AAU

    Coach Mike came to Triple Threat Hoops after graduating from Bucknell University in 2020 with a degree in Accounting & Financial Management. Mike was a Student Assistant for the Bucknell Men’s Basketball team from 2016-2020, where he was responsible for helping with practice plans, scouting reports, film sessions, and travel logistics. The Men’s Basketball team won the Patriot League Tournament in both 2017 and 2018, posting two appearances in March Madness. Coach Mike was able to work with 8 players who went on to play professionally, including Zach Thomas, Nana Foulland, Stephen Brown and Nate Sestina, who all have participated in the NBA Summer League. Additionally, two former players from Mike’s tenure at Bucknell are now Assistant Coaches in the NBA, for the Boston Celtics and Oklahoma City Thunder. Mike is also the Managing Partner of Transfer Tapes, a college basketball recruiting company, specifically focused on the Transfer Portal. He leverages his Transfer Tapes business to bring additional awareness to our players when speaking to college coaches on a daily basis. Coach Mike is a irreplaceable piece to our program and we love having him on board.

  • Thomas Barrett - Head Coach

    Coach Tom is a 2016 Graduate of The College of New Jersey, where he earned his Bachelor’s in Health & Physical Education. He then went on to serve as the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Quakerdale Prep, an elite basketball Preparatory school in central Iowa. After two seasons as an Assistant, Coach Tom took over the Head Coaching position from 2018 to 2021. Tom had the privilege of coaching Multiple future Division I players in his time at Quakerdale, including Thomas Wilder (Western Michigan), Zach Lofton (New Mexico State), Atticus Taylor (NC State) and Darrion Strong (Oklahoma). Wilder and Lofton both were given the opportunity to play in the NBA G-League after college, while Taylor and Strong went on to play Overseas in Germany and Romania. Tom has been a great addition to the program over the last year, the kids love him, and he has taught them a tremendous amount in only a short time.

  • David Lam

    Director of Player Development

    Coach Lam graduated Montclair State University in 2018 with a Bachelor’s in Psychology. Following graduation, he became the Head of Player Development at Blair Academy for the 2018 and 2019 seasons. Over the course of the last 4 years, Coach Lam has earned the reputation as one of the top player development trainers in the Northeast. He has worked with thousands of players from all age groups, including Division I and Professional players. Coach Lam’s detailed approach, along with his genuine care for the Basketball Career’s of his student athletes, has led to dozens of his clients earning Division I basketball scholarships, most notably Jaylen Blakes of Duke University men’s team and Dominique Onu of UCLA women’s team. We have had coach Lam on board since 2019 and he has been nothing short of phenomenal with the success he has helped our program achieve. We look forward to many more years working together to help our athletes reach their maximum potential.

  • Michelle Cadeau

    Director of Programs

    Michelle has been involved in elite level sports for many years. Professionally she started in 2013 as the director of Center Court, a large tennis academy in NJ. She then went on to create the first ever middle school basketball academy in the country in 2018. Her Academy, Student Athlete Academy (SAA), hosts many of the top Middle School players in NJ and has grown to over 60 kids. She was the Middle School Administrator for Sports U Team IZOD for many years helping organize programs, run tryouts, and plan trips all over the country. Her two sons, Justin and Elliot, are both high Division 1 athletes. Justin plays tennis for Howard University and Elliot is a 5 star high school basketball player heading to University of North Carolina. Michelle has been a MAJOR part of our programs success from developing programs, helping with scheduling, recruiting players, she truly does it all and we are happy to have her.

  • Lammar Young

    Head Coach

    Lammar has been a staple in the New Jersey Grassroots scene for over a decade, helping countless young players in their journeys to becoming Division I and Pro basketball players.

    A Montclair native and Montclair High School Class of 2000 Graduate, Coach Lammar has deep roots in the North Jersey community. Coach Lammar got his start in Basketball Coaching at the Montclair YMCA, where he helped assemble and Coach highly competitive teams that competed in the North Jersey YMCA League. YMCA basketball was “AAU before AAU”, and provided young players the opportunity to compete with and against the best players in the area. Some of the best players to come from Lammar’s Montclair YMCA rosters include Jordan Taylor, who has played in the Drew League, Romania and Portugal, and Cyril Langevine who led College Basketball in offensive rebounding at Rhode Island in 2018. WNBA player for the New York Liberty Joceyln Willoughby was also a star for the Montclair YMCA.

    Coach Lammar also spent time with the Hilltoppers basketball club from 2011-2016, before starting his own Program in Young World Ballers (YWB). YWB grew to 15 teams in the first few years, establishing themselves as one of the stronger Independent Programs in the Tri-State Area.

  • Jason Holmes

    Head Coach

    Jason comes to Triple Threat with over 20 years of Coaching experience at both the Youth and College levels. After graduating from Summit High School in the late 90s, Jason went on to play at Kean University from 1998-2001. Jason’s coaching career began in 2001, when he chose to be a Kidney Donor and was no longer able to play the game.

    In 2002, Jason started coaching at the Madison YMCA, where he and Coach Phil Perone built the heralded “Gators” program. Before AAU was popular, the YMCA League was where the top basketball talent in North Jersey competed against each other. Hundreds of young athletes that played in the YMCA League went on to play College Basketball, with dozens of those coming out of the Madison YMCA. Jason’s involvement in the Madison YMCA Gators shaped the Madison, Chatham and Morristown High School programs for decades. Every talented basketball player at those 3 High School’s over the last 20 years has come up through Jason’s development. Today, that program’s alumni has Professional Basketball Players, College Coaches, Youth Coaches, and successful businessmen alike, a testament to the Institution that was built at the Madison YMCA.

    Throughout the past two decades, Jason has coached at a few prominent school’s in North Jersey, including 3 years at Madison HS, 3 years at Gill St Bernards HS, and 4 years at Kushner Academy. Jason’s coaching has also extended to the College ranks, where he has coached 2 years at Berkeley College, and is currently an Assistant Coach at Bloomfield College.

    Jason is one of the premier coaches and one of the most loved people in North Jersey basketball, and we are thrilled to have him join the Family at Triple Threat Hoops!

  • Nick Duncsak

    Head Coach

    Nick joins the Staff at Triple Threat Hoops after a successful playing career at Stockton University, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s in History with a concentration in Education. Nick is currently an Assistant Coach at Stockton, and a teacher in the Southern Regional school district.

    During his 4-Year playing career at Stockton, Nick shot 44% from the field and 35% from 3. As a 3-Year starter, Nick helped lead Stockton to an NJAC record 4-Straight Conference Championships, which culminated in 2 Division III Sweet 16 appearances.

    The winning ways have continued for Nick as a Coach, with Stockton making a 5th straight Division III NCAA Tournament appearance in the 2023-24 Season. Nick’s experience as a player and coach in high-level College Basketball make him an amazing addition to the Triple Threat Hoops Staff!

  • Jordan Taylor

    Assistant Coach | Skills Trainer

    Jordan joins the Triple Threat Hoops family amidst a surging Professional Basketball career, most recently in Portugal. Now a 4th Year Pro, Jordan has played in Armenia, Mexico and Romania before landing in Portugal for the 2023-24 Season.

    An East Orange native, Jordan became a prominent name in North Jersey basketball after leading the state of New Jersey in 3-Pointers Made as a Sophomore at East Orange in 2014. Jordan finished his High School career with 793 career points and 228 3-Pointers made. From 2013-2016, Jordan played AAU Basketball for Coach Jason Holmes’ HDynasty Program. Through HDynasty, Jordan created many lifelong friendships, Coach Mike of Triple Threat being one of them!

    Jordan began his College career at Stockton University in 2016, where he arrived on campus a 6’3”, 160 pound freshman. After struggling to see the court as a freshman and sophomore, hours of work on the court and in the weight-room along with a 4 inch growth-spurt propelled the now 6’7” skilled forward into the Starting Lineup as a Junior. As a Senior in 2019-20, Jordan was awarded All-NJAC honors, finishing Top-5 in Assist:Turnover Ratio and Top-10 in Assists in the talented NJAC Conference. Jordan finished his career at Stockton with 675 points, 262 rebounds, 136 assists and 142 3-Pointers made which is 10th best in school history.

    Jordan has achieved an immense amount of success and recognition throughout his Pro Career, with the most heralded accomplishment being invited by Keion Kindred (Former Skills Trainer of Kobe Bryant) to be on his Drew League team, “Redemption”. The Drew League is universally accepted as the top Summer League in the World, where dozens of current NBA Players and top Pros around the World compete against each other in Southern California each summer. Jordan has competed in the Drew League for all 3 summers of his Pro Career.

    During the 2022-23 Season in Romania, Jordan was awarded “Forward of the Year”, “Import Player of the Year” and 1st Team All Romanian Liga with marks of 14.2 PPG, 8.2 RPG, 2.3 APG and 74% shooting percentage.

    Jordan is thrilled to begin his Coaching career with Triple Threat Hoops, as he continues to chase his Pro Basketball dreams. Jordan’s worldwide experience and natural gift for understanding the game of basketball will be a tremendous asset to Triple Threat Hoops for years to come.
